Mike Stellmacher is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and shares management responsibilities for the firm’s dividend and global dividend growth, capital growth, global growth, small cap and large cap growth portfolios for the firm’s custom separately-managed accounts, private investment funds, and mutual funds. His investment research responsibilities focus on the 21st century economy and high-carbon footprint industries such as energy, utilities, chemicals, and metals.
Prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 2001, Mike managed the investments of The Pillsbury Company’s employee benefit plans. Trained as an economist, Mike also held economic research and analyst positions with Pillsbury, Tri/Valley Growers and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Michael earned an M.B.A. degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1991. He also holds an M.S. degree in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State University, which he received in 1979, and a B.S. degree in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1977. Mike is a CFA charter holder.
